Personally I plan to assign a personal ID number to my banjo and have it engraved on a plate and glue it to the inside o the rim. Every banjo comes with a lifetime warrenty,including the gold plating and only requires the owner to provide the original reciept. While some were given numbers that were engraved in gold on the back of the peg head this was not a common or continued practice. Morgan Monroe does not log serial numbers.
